Our Statement on COVID-19

Smith Dray Line is closely monitoring the developments of COVID-19 and is taking steps to be compliant with the CDC and WHO health regulations regarding this virus. While we currently have no cases of COVID-19 at any of our offices, we want to do all we can to ensure the health of our employees and customers. Below is a list of actions that we are taking to mitigate the spread of the virus.

All facilities will be professionally sanitized on a bi-monthly basis with a COVID-19 killing disinfectant. We will follow up this professional disinfecting, with an on-the -hour cleaning of all hard surfaces with either sanitizing wipes or sprays. All employee’s have been given the CDC guidelines regarding the frequent washing of hands or the use of a alcohol based hand sanitizer. These guidelines are posted throughout our offices, in numerous locations, as a constant reminder. We will also be practicing social distancing and allowing those that have the ability to work at home the opportunity to do so should the need arise. Anyone who is sick, or has been in contact with someone who is, has been directed to stay home.

We will be disinfecting our trucks, vans and moving equipment weekly. All pack, load and delivery crews will be checked with a digital thermometer each morning prior to leaving for a job. They have been instructed to be aware of social distancing with regards to their daily work and the responsibility to take this situation extremely seriously for themselves and our customers.

Our Coordinators will be checking with customers and crews, prior to first contact, to ensure no health issues have arisen. For those customers wanting to get a quote for a move but are concerned about face to face contact, we have the ability to do the in-home survey remotely. We can discuss this option with you at the time you call to request a survey.

While we plan to remain open for business, we realize that some of our customers may feel uncomfortable moving at this particular time. Please rest assured, we will make every effort possible to re-schedule your move.

Your health, and the health of our employees is our primary concern, and we will continue to take steps, as this situation evolves, to make sure we are doing everything we can to be pro-active and vigilant.
